Hello, after my invisible dining tables I got a request for invisible counters.
I thought that were easy going to make like the tables but my test sim won´t preparing meals on these counter. I want use these with enlarged shelves or cabinets. I tried it with deleting footprint but this doesn´t work obviously. She wags with her hand in the air and think "I don´t care"

I want to share my personal experience with attempting what you are trying to do with you, in that the game engine seems to need some sort of physical 'mesh' in-game to use as a target for such interactions. This comes from attempting to do the 'other' surfaces - the workbench, the floral counter, the archaeology table - all of which share a common surface height with the counters. I found that as long as there was some sort of physical 'target' surface, then everything is OK, without any, the game does as you may describe as 'Nice try...'.
Have you checked how Sims behave if you enlarge a shelf and place it over a regular EA counter like in your screenshot? It could be that having the shelf there is blocking the routing.
Okay menaceman44 you are right the shelf or other surfaces blocking the interaction. But why does the invisible tables work with shelves? What can I do to make it to work? I‘m on my phone right now and can‘t share pictures or files because my telekom router is dead. Thank you for your help!
